Production's Set to Begin on the All-New 2019 Ford Ranger!

A recent October 22 press release from Ford showed us a bit of the excitement that was to come.

At its Michigan Assembly Plant, a 369-acre facility in Wayne, MI, just outside of Detroit, Ford treated its 3,000 auto workers to seeing the latest mid-size truck in action, with some getting to ride in it on an off-road course custom-built on-site for thrills. Needless to say, there were a few Ford experts here at our dealership in Manteca, CA that were a tad jealous.

Then again, there's more to celebrate here than meets the eye. Ford has invested approximately $850 million in upgrading the plant and making it ready to build both the new Ranger as well as the future and long-awaited Ford Bronco, set to debut in 2020. That'll help keep 2019 Ranger American-made and holding true to the "Built Ford Tough" tradition of craftsmanship excellence. Of course, if what we know about the F-150 sibling so far is true, it'll represent a winning combination of features to accommodate the urban lifestyle as well as off-road adventurism all on its own -- a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine, a ten-speed auto transmission that's exclusive in its segment, driver-assist technologies galore, entertainment and connectivity features in abundance, and payload, gas towing, and gas torque ratings at the top of the class.

As if things couldn't get any more interesting, there will also be a ton of new Ford models coming between 2018 and 2020 as our automaker shores up its truck, SUV and commercial vehicle offerings. Looking to get to know a bit more about what's in store? You can start with checking out 2019 Ford Ranger, sure enough. But, the best way to get a feel for the Ford experience is to pay a visit to Phil Waterford's Manteca Ford here at 555 North Main Street in town, where you can take a test drive in one of our many F-150 or Ford Super Duty® pickups. We'll be glad to show you what you have to look forward to!
