Phil Waterford Gives Back to the Community

As you may know, we here at Phil Waterford's Manteca Ford love giving back to the community. We’re proud members of Manteca, CA and we strive to make our community shine a little brighter. Just recently, a Modesto teacher, Lori Gaines, helped surprise one of her hardworking students with a new car.

Christian Esquivel, who is a senior at Joseph A. Gregori High School in Modesto works three jobs, and has been saving up for a car. Little did he know, he’d be getting one sooner than he thought.

Gaines set up a GoFundMe page hoping to raise at least $5,000 to purchase Esquivel a reliable pre-owned vehicle. That goal was surpassed in only three days. With some extra help from others in the community, there was an even bigger surprise planned.

Our owner Phil Waterford of Waterford’s Manteca Ford and Exotic High Line, surprised Esquivel with a brand new 2019 Ford model. He was also offered a paid internship at our dealership so that he could cut back on some of his jobs.

But that’s not all, with the help of another sponsor, Gaines was surprised with an all-expenses-paid trip to Disneyland to enjoy with her family.

We here at Waterford’s Manteca Ford and Exotic High Line love giving back our local community. If you’d like to learn more about our current news events, please reach out to our team! We look forward to hearing from you soon.
