The Ford Escape, the compact crossover in the Ford lineup, has been around since 2000. The world has changed a lot since then, and Ford knows that their vehicles need to change to keep up. The 2020 Ford Escape will be all-new. It's going to be fully redesigned for the new year, and we at Phil Waterford's Manteca Ford just can't wait. Here's what we know so far:

The 2020 Ford Escape will be the first of the fourth generation. Ford has refreshed the styling on the Escape, and the newest incarnation features a bold new look. We're big fans. The front end is lower, too. You get more interior space, and Ford says that they greatly improved the rear legroom in the 2020 Ford Escape. You also get up to 37.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seats, which is 3.5 cubic feet more than on previous model years. It also gains a more powerful standard engine; the base trim of the 2020 Ford Escape will give you 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque to work with.

Ford has more than proven their automaking expertise over the years, and we know that the 2020 Ford Escape will be another smash hit. We can't wait until we get one on our lot.
