Spotlight on Ford F-150 Performance

Six Engine Options

The new Ford F-150 truck is available with six different powertrain options with varying balances of power, towing capability, and fuel-efficiency. Apart from the standard 3.3-liter V6, each engine is matched up with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine. The standard engine on the F-150, it is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and produces 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque.

2.7-liter turbo EcoBoost® V6. The big numbers from this smaller engine come in at 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6. This twin-turbocharged engine gets quick response and high fuel efficiency on its way to a maximum towing capacity of 13,200 pounds. All that capability is generated from 375 horsepower and a best-in-class gas 470 pound-feet of torque. A high-output version is also available for the F-150 Limited and Raptor, cranking out 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.

5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8. The legendary Ford five-point-0 uses twin independent variable cam timing to push out a serious 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Modesto drivers have the option to convert this one to CNG or propane Autogas.

3.0-liter Power Stroke® turbo diesel. The latest addition to the F-150 powertrain lineup, this powerful and efficient diesel engine delivers impressive towing capability of up to 11,500 pounds while also achieving an EPA-estimated 30 MOG highway. The reduced horsepower of 250 is made up for by the 440 pound-feet of torque engineered for peak torque at 1,750 RPM, which is optimal for towing and hauling heavy loads.
