The Differences Between Buying and Leasing

If you are eligible then you may find yourself wondering whether to pursue buying a car or leasing one. What's the difference between these two options, though?

When you buy a car, you generally have to take out an auto loan for it. You pay down the loan until it is completely repaid; however, you own the vehicle and you control how often you service it and drive it.

When you lease a vehicle, you are paying a predetermined monthly amount. You do not own the car and leases do come with mileage parameters; however, if you do not drive a lot (or if you only need a car for a specific purpose) leasing can be more affordable on a monthly scale than buying a car.

How Do I Know If I'm Eligible.

You are eligible for this program if you are an active college or trade school student, an active graduate student, a recent college graduate (within 3 years of graduation), a high school senior (or recent graduate) with a letter of intent to attend a university that qualifies, or a college student internship participant.
